Ngarra Aboriginal Corporation Healing Strong Domestic Violence Program


Healing Strong DV Program is a culturally grounded initiative designed to support Aboriginal men to break the cycle of violence and rebuild strong, safe futures.

Healing Strong Program Overview:

  • Who it’s for: Aboriginal men aged 18 and over, who are offenders and are ready to change their behaviours and understand how their brain works.

  • Program Structure:

    • 12-week Healing Strong DV Program
      Focused on helping men learn how the brain and body respond to trauma, emotional regulation, cultural identity, and safe decision-making.

    • Followed by a 10-week Anger Management Program
      Supporting behaviour change through communication skills, non-violence planning, and relapse prevention.

Program Details:

  • Start Date: 19 August 2025 at 10AM

  • Location: Level 1, 46 William Street, Raymond Terrace

  • Group Sessions: Mondays (classroom-based learning) and Tuesdays (cultural healing out on Country)

  • Duration: Up to 6 months (combined DV and Anger Management program)
